17-Year-Old Nigerian Boy Charged for Alleged Murder of Man in US
A 17-year-old Nigerian teenager has been charged with the alleged murder of a 35-year-old man in the United States, according to reports from local authorities.
The incident reportedly occurred in the state of Maryland, where police say the suspect, whose name has been withheld due to his age, was involved in a violent altercation that led to the victim’s death.
In a statement released by the Montgomery County Police Department, officers responded to an emergency call late Sunday night and found the victim with severe injuries. He was later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect and the victim were known to each other, though the motive behind the incident remains under investigation. The police added that the Nigerian teenager has been taken into custody and charged as an adult due to the gravity of the offence.
