US Deploys Troops to Nigeria to Support Counterterrorism Efforts Following Airstrikes
The United States has reportedly deployed troops to Nigeria to assist in the fight against terrorism, following a series of airstrikes targeting insurgent groups in the region.
Officials say the deployment is part of an ongoing security partnership between the two countries aimed at bolstering Nigeria’s military operations against terrorist organisations such as Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
