2027 Election: Tinubu Picks APC Nomination Form for Re-election Bid
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken a major step toward seeking a second term in office after securing the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development comes as the ruling APC officially commenced the sale of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants across various political positions. Tinubu’s form was obtained on his behalf in Abuja by a member of the House of Representatives, James Faleke, who represents Ikeja Federal Constituency.
According to party guidelines, the presidential nomination form costs ₦100 million, a fee reportedly raised through contributions from supporters of the president across the country. Faleke explained that the purchase was made collectively, describing it as a demonstration of widespread support for Tinubu’s re-election ambition.
By obtaining the form, Tinubu becomes one of the first aspirants to formally signal his intention to contest in the 2027 presidential election under the APC platform.
