Jimmy Carter at 100: Events and Celebrations Honoring His Impact
Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has officially turned 100 years old, becoming the first U.S. president to reach this milestone.
Carter, who has been under hospice care since early 2023, celebrated the occasion with events organized by the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum.
These celebrations included an exhibit titled “100 Portraits for 100 Years of Jimmy Carter,” showcasing various artistic depictions of him, and a series of festivities in his hometown of Plains, Georgia.
The former president, renowned for his work in diplomacy, human rights, and philanthropy, particularly through Habitat for Humanity, continues to be honored for his legacy.
A special concert in Atlanta, “Jimmy Carter 100: A Celebration in Song,” was held in September, featuring performances from a range of artists.
