Jordan and Cian: Raising Awareness for FTD Dementia
Two brothers, Jordan and Cian Adams, both in their 20s, have been diagnosed with a rare form of dementia known as frontotemporal dementia (FTD).This devastating diagnosis comes after their mother passed away from the same condition in 2016.
FTD is a genetic disorder that can be inherited, and after genetic testing, the brothers discovered they had also inherited the gene, giving them an estimated 15 years of quality life before the disease progresses.
Despite the grim prognosis, the brothers are determined to make the most of their remaining years and are actively raising awareness about the condition.
They have embarked on a mission to raise £1 million for Alzheimer’s Research UK by running across the UK and have already raised significant funds to contribute towards research.
Their journey has been emotionally challenging, but they are using their diagnosis as a motivation to live life fully and to help others facing similar battles
