Kogi University Scandal: Dismissal of Four Lecturers for Sexual Misconduct
Four lecturers at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, have been dismissed for acts of gross misconduct, including sexual harassment, fraud, and other ethical violations.
The dismissed lecturers include Mr. Abutu Thompson Okolo, who was accused of sexually harassing and victimizing a female student.
Additionally, Mr. Ipinmoroti Samuel Adejoro and Mrs. Adegoke Kehinde Vivian were dismissed for falsifying documents to obtain and divert training grants worth over ₦22 million and ₦21 million, respectively.
They have been ordered to refund the misappropriated funds. Mrs. Sylvester Ojone Blessing was also dismissed for absenteeism and is required to return unearned salaries amounting to over ₦1.3 million.
