Breaking: Taraba’s Most Wanted Kidnapper Caught by Troops – 20 Hostages Freed
Troops in Taraba State have successfully apprehended a notorious kidnap kingpin who has been linked to multiple high-profile kidnapping operations in the region.
This arrest follows an intelligence-led operation conducted by the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade and Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), which dismantled a dangerous syndicate.
The leader of the gang, Dahiru Idi (also known as “Yellow”), was captured alongside other members after a raid on their hideout at Kona Mountain.
During the operation, the suspects revealed that they had recently collected ransoms amounting to millions of Naira for the release of their victims.
The military operation, supported by surveillance and information from local sources, also resulted in the discovery of AK-47 rifles, Indian hemp, and other items associated with their criminal activities.
Authorities have praised the collaboration with local communities and security agencies in successfully executing these operations.
