Rapper NBA Youngboy Admits Guilt in Drug Fraud Case: What It Means
Rapper NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, recently pleaded guilty to charges related to a prescription drug fraud operation in Utah.
This scheme involved identity fraud, forgery, and unlawful pharmacy conduct. As part of a plea deal, 46 initial charges were significantly reduced.
He was fined $25,000 but avoided additional state prison time. However, he is already serving a 27-month federal sentence for a related firearms offense.
Authorities discovered fraudulent prescriptions tied to his name and a car linked to him was used to collect these prescriptions.
Following his federal prison term, NBA YoungBoy will also serve five years of probation.
During sentencing, the judge acknowledged his talent and encouraged him to use this opportunity to rebuild his life.
