Uncovering the Risk: NAFDAC Finds Expired Goods in Lagos Warehouse
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) recently uncovered a warehouse in Lagos stocked with unregistered and expired products worth millions of naira.
These included counterfeit drugs and other contraband items such as falsified medicines and smuggled goods.
The operation, which followed a tip-off, revealed the storage of unregistered products like fake Paraeforce and others labeled to mimic authentic medications.
The warehouse, described as being approximately 100 by 50 feet in size, has been sealed, and the discovered items are under police supervision pending further investigation.
NAFDAC has stressed its commitment to combating counterfeit and unregistered products, which pose significant risks to public health.
They also urged businesses to ensure proper registration of their goods to comply with regulations.
