Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong has expressed confidence in Nigeria’s readiness for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) scheduled in Morocco. Following the recent group stage draw, Nigeria is placed in Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Troost-Ekong emphasized that while there are no easy matches at this level, the Super Eagles are prepared to face any opposition.
Reflecting on the team’s prospects, Troost-Ekong stated, “We are ready to play any opposition during the AFCON 2025 scheduled to hold in Morocco later in the year.”
He also acknowledged the competitive nature of the tournament, noting that the team must approach each game with focus and determination.
The Super Eagles are aiming to secure their fourth AFCON title, with their last triumph dating back to 2013. Troost-Ekong’s leadership and the team’s preparation will be crucial as they navigate the challenges ahead in the tournament.
