Bandit Assault in Katsina: Five Lives Lost

Katsina Community Faces Tragedy as Bandits Strike

On the night of Monday, February 24, 2025, suspected bandits launched a deadly attack on the Unguwar Kosau area in Kurya Madaro community, Katsina State. The assailants killed five residents and injured several others during the assault.

This incident is part of a series of violent attacks in the region, highlighting the ongoing security challenges faced by communities in Katsina State.

In a related development, security forces have been actively responding to bandit activities in the area. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) reported that its operatives killed four suspected bandits during operations in Dutsinma Local Government Area.

Additionally, the Nigerian Air Force conducted airstrikes targeting bandit hideouts, successfully neutralizing several bandits and thwarting an attack on a Police Mobile Force base in Zakka village.
