Bandits Kill Father and Son, Abduct Guard in Zamfara

Tragic Attack: Father and Son Killed, Guard Abducted in Zamfara

On April 5, 2025, suspected bandits attacked a community in Zamfara State, resulting in the deaths of a man named Garbati and his son, Abubakar Babuga Garbati. The assailants also overpowered the Community Protection Guards (CPG), abducting one member, Asiru Dawa, and taking him to an undisclosed location.

This incident is part of a series of attacks in Zamfara State. Approximately two weeks prior, bandits ambushed members of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards in Anka Local Government Area, resulting in multiple fatalities.

The Zamfara State government has been working to enhance security by deploying additional forces and supporting local protection initiatives.
