​A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025, with tremors felt as far as Bangkok, Thailand. In Bangkok’s Chatuchak district, a 30-story high-rise building under construction collapsed due to the quake, resulting in at least three fatalities and leaving approximately 90 workers missing or trapped under the debris.
