Banker Sentenced to Prison for Fraud in Lagos

Lagos Court Imprisons Banker for Fraudulent Activities

On February 18, 2025, Justice R.A. Oshodi of the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, sentenced a banker to prison for fraud-related offenses. The convict was arraigned on a five-count charge, including conspiracy and stealing.

The prosecution, led by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), presented evidence demonstrating the banker’s involvement in fraudulent activities that resulted in significant financial losses.

Upon conviction, the court imposed a custodial sentence, underscoring the judiciary’s commitment to addressing financial crimes within the banking sector.
