Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has publicly appealed to Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy to forgive and facilitate the release of fellow entertainer Speed Darlington.
Speed Darlington has been detained for 45 days following allegations of defamation against Burna Boy.
In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Bobrisky expressed concern for Speed Darlington’s well-being, emphasizing that “prison is not a nice place” and suggesting that the time already served is sufficient punishment.
Bobrisky also noted that Speed Darlington might not have the financial means for better accommodations within the prison system.
Bobrisky further criticized fans who previously encouraged Speed Darlington’s controversial behavior, pointing out that they are not present to support him during his incarceration.
This appeal highlights the complexities of public disputes among celebrities and the role of fan influence in escalating conflicts.
