Breaking: Kwankwaso Has No Agreement with Atiku and Obi for 2027

2027 Elections: Kwankwaso Clarifies Stance on Atiku and Obi Alliance

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has firmly denied any agreement with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi regarding a rotational presidency for the 2027 elections.

In a recent interview, Kwankwaso dismissed claims suggesting a pact where each would serve consecutive presidential terms, labeling such assertions as baseless and deceptive.

Kwankwaso expressed frustration over the spread of these false narratives, particularly by senior political figures, stating, “It is annoying that at least one online newspaper has chosen to edit the footage to make it appear as though a woman entered the apartment on her own. That is simply not true.”

He emphasized that such deceitful tactics were among the reasons he, along with others like Peter Obi and Nyesom Wike, departed from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Kwankwaso criticized the continued propagation of falsehoods, noting that those who previously caused divisions within the party are now attempting to regain prominence by misleading the public.

Addressing the purported power-sharing arrangement, Kwankwaso clarified that no discussions or agreements have taken place between him, Atiku, and Obi concerning the 2027 elections.

He urged the public to disregard such unfounded rumors and called on political leaders to engage in honest and transparent practices, especially given Nigeria’s current challenges.
