The Nigerian Army has arrested 12 suspected kidnappers in Taraba State following a distress call from Chachanji village about an abduction on November 7.
The operation resulted in the seizure of 14 motorcycles, a locally made pistol, and two bags of Indian hemp.
The suspects, apprehended during a follow-up operation on November 9, confessed their involvement in the crime and identified their leader, Veior John Gata, a notorious figure wanted for crimes in southern Taraba and Benue states.
