Adams Oshiomhole Celebrates Son’s Qualification as Edo Commissioner
Adams Oshiomhole, former governor and now a senator representing Edo North, recently addressed his son’s appointment as the Commissioner for Health in Edo State.
Cyril Oshiomhole, who is a U.S.-trained medical doctor, was appointed by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
Despite Cyril’s qualifications, Senator Oshiomhole opposed the appointment, asserting that his son’s capabilities, not family ties, should justify the role.
Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa confirmed that Cyril’s selection was merit-based, emphasizing his expertise in medicine.
He also dismissed allegations of nepotism, clarifying that Senator Oshiomhole’s opposition stemmed from concerns unrelated to governance goals, rather than a lack of support for Cyril’s qualifications.
