Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has observed an improvement in his health since leaving office on May 29, 2023. He shared that visitors have remarked on his healthier appearance, stating, “My health has improved since leaving office. People who visited me told me I look better than before.”
Reflecting on his tenure, Buhari described Nigeria as a challenging country to govern, noting that those outside the corridors of power may not fully grasp the nation’s complexities and difficulties. He emphasized the importance of political leaders fearing Allah and maintaining transparency in managing public funds.
These remarks were made during an All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders’ meeting at the Katsina State Government House, convened in preparation for the upcoming local government elections in the state.
The meeting was attended by prominent political figures, including former Governors Aminu Bello Masari and Ibrahim Shehu Shema, Governor Dikko Umar Radda, and various current and former members of the National Assembly.
