Remarkable Surgery Saves Businessman from Cocaine Overdose Risk
A Nigerian businessman, identified as Chukwudi Okeke, recently underwent emergency surgery to remove 81 wraps of cocaine from his stomach. Okeke had ingested the illicit substances seven days prior, intending to smuggle them internationally.
However, the wraps failed to pass through his system as anticipated, leading to severe abdominal pain and potential life-threatening complications. Medical professionals at a Lagos hospital successfully performed the procedure, removing the cocaine packets and stabilizing Okeke’s condition.
Authorities have been notified, and an investigation is underway to determine the broader network involved in this smuggling attempt. This incident highlights the extreme risks individuals take in drug trafficking operations and the critical importance of medical intervention in such scenarios.
