Real Madrid’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, is scheduled to stand trial in Spain on April 2, 2025, over allegations of tax fraud.
Spanish prosecutors accuse Ancelotti of defrauding the state of €1,062,079 during the 2014 and 2015 fiscal years by not fully declaring income related to his image rights. They allege that he used a complex network of trusts and shell companies to conceal these earnings.
The prosecution is seeking a prison sentence of four years and nine months, along with fines totaling €3,186,237.
Ancelotti, who managed Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015 and returned in 2021, has denied any wrongdoing. He has expressed confidence in the judicial process, noting that he previously won a related case and is now facing an appeal.
