Cassie Ventura, the 38-year-old singer and former partner of Sean “Diddy” Combs, is set to testify under her real name in Combs’ upcoming federal trial, which includes charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution.
Ventura, identified as “Victim-1” in court documents, has chosen to forgo anonymity, distinguishing her from three other alleged victims who have requested to remain unidentified due to concerns about media harassment.
Prosecutors allege that Combs and his associates lured victims under false pretenses and coerced them into participating in staged sex acts, referred to as “freak offs.” Additional charges were unveiled in a new indictment involving a second victim, amplifying the severity of the case.
Ventura had previously accused Combs of physical assault, supported by a 2016 surveillance video released by CNN in May 2024, which has since become a point of contention in the trial.
Combs, currently held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, has pleaded not guilty and faces over 60 lawsuits related to sexual misconduct. His legal team claims the video footage was tampered with, while Ventura’s attorney insists it accurately portrays the abuse.
