Sheffield United have announced the signing of Nigerian winger Christian Nwachukwu from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv. The transfer is subject to the completion of necessary documentation.
Nwachukwu, 19, began his youth career at Nigerian club G12 FC before moving to Russian side FDC Vista in 2022. He joined Botev Plovdiv in February 2024, where he made 25 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist. Primarily a left winger, Nwachukwu is known for his versatility and ability to play on both flanks.
This acquisition aligns with Sheffield United’s data-driven recruitment strategy, aiming to identify and develop emerging talents.
