Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, has alleged that former Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, ordered the demolition of his cement plant in Itori, Ogun State, on two separate occasions during Amosun’s administration.
Dangote made this claim during a recent visit to the current Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun. He stated that the demolitions led to the abandonment of the project until the present administration encouraged its revival.
In response, Senator Amosun’s media office issued a statement challenging Dangote to provide evidence of the necessary approvals for the construction of the structures that were allegedly demolished.
The statement emphasized that no individual or entity is above the law and that all developments must adhere to established regulations.
