Deltans to Vote for President Tinubu in 2027 Election

Delta State Traditional Rulers Support Tinubu for 2027

During a visit from First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on March 26, 2025, the Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, Major General Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, pledged that Deltans would support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

He stated, “We are proud of you. You are a virtuous woman. You stood by your husband. We assure you that come 2027, we Deltans will vote for Mr. President.”

This endorsement has sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians, especially given that Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was present during the pledge.

Some citizens expressed surprise and skepticism about the commitment, questioning the timing and the monarch’s authority to speak on behalf of all Deltans.
