Ogun Police Probe Dismembered Body Found in a Sack

On February 16, 2025, a dismembered female body was discovered in a sack within the Sedu 2 Community of Ogijo, Ogun State. The local community chairman and members reported finding the unidentified, light-complexioned woman, estimated to be over 30 years old, in a fenced farmland.

Upon arrival, police officers found the corpse missing its head and hands, suggesting it was dumped at the location. The remains have been sent to Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital in Sagamu for preservation and forensic examination. Ogun State Police Commissioner Lanre Ogunlowo has ordered a thorough investigation to apprehend those responsible for this suspected ritual killing.
