Renowned Nigerian disc jockey DJ Jimmy Jatt has opened up about his health challenges, revealing that he lost his sight in 2020 and later battled chronic kidney disease. In a candid interview on Channels TV’s “Rubbin’ Minds,” he shared the details of his ordeal.
In 2019, DJ Jimmy Jatt decided to spend more time outside Nigeria, exploring Europe and America. However, in 2020, he began experiencing health issues, including sudden vision loss.
He underwent surgery to restore his sight, but during this period, he was also diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. He underwent dialysis and eventually had a kidney transplant in 2022.
Despite these health challenges, DJ Jimmy Jatt has continued to pursue his passion for music, performing across America and Europe. He returned to Nigeria in December 2024, marking a significant milestone in his recovery journey.
