Ali Isah, a bus driver, recounted his harrowing escape from gunmen who abducted Afenifere Youth Council President, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, in Ondo State. The incident occurred at Akuni, a border town in Ondo State near Kogi State, while Isah was transporting 18 passengers from Akure to Kano.
After passing security checkpoints, a Hummer bus approached from the opposite direction, and its occupants opened fire. Unaware he had been shot in the leg, Isah continued driving into Kogi State until he lost consciousness due to blood loss.
He was later found by policemen from Ayare Division in Kogi State and received medical treatment. Meanwhile, the kidnappers took several passengers, including Ojajuni, into the bush. The abductors have demanded a ransom of N100 million and two tricycles for Ojajuni’s release, threatening to kill him if their demands are not met. In a distressing video, Ojajuni pleaded for public assistance to secure his freedom.
