The Department of State Services (DSS) has replaced Adegboyega Fasasi as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to President Bola Tinubu.
The new CSO is Rasheed Atanda Lawal, a Deputy Director within the DSS. Fasasi’s reassignment is said to be part of a regular organizational shift following the appointment of Tosin Ajayi as the new DSS Director-General.
Official reports suggest that Fasasi has been sent for a professional training course, which is a standard practice when there are changes in key security positions.
This shift is typical when a new DSS Director-General takes office, as they often prefer to position trusted personnel in critical roles close to the presidency.
