Trump Advocates Ceasefire Between Ukraine and Russia by Easter

​U.S. President Donald Trump is actively advocating for a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia to be established by Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025. This initiative aims to halt hostilities and pave the way for comprehensive peace negotiations.

To facilitate this, U.S. and Russian officials have commenced talks in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on achieving a limited ceasefire, particularly concerning energy infrastructure. Despite these efforts, significant differences remain, and the Kremlin has tempered expectations, indicating that negotiations will be challenging.
