Cuban reggaeton singer El Taiger, whose real name was José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, has died at the age of 37.
He passed away on October 10, 2024, exactly one week after being found with a gunshot wound to the head in Miami.
The shooting took place on October 3, when El Taiger was discovered inside a black Mercedes SUV near Jackson Memorial Hospital.
After being rushed to the hospital and undergoing surgery, he was placed on life support but sadly did not survive his injuries.
Miami police have confirmed that the incident is being investigated as a homicide, and authorities are searching for a person of interest connected to the case.
El Taiger was a popular figure in the reggaeton and Cubaton music scene, known for hits like “La Historia” and “El Papelito.”
His family and fans have held memorials in his honor, celebrating his contributions to music and his impact on the Cuban community.
