Four months after his dismissal from Manchester United, former manager Erik ten Hag has spoken publicly about his tenure and future plans. In a recent interview, ten Hag expressed a deep fondness for Old Trafford and the unwavering support of the fans, stating, “If there’s one thing I miss, it’s Old Trafford.”
Reflecting on his time at the club, ten Hag acknowledged both the highs and the challenges, emphasizing the constant pursuit of improvement: “We’ve had many highs; there is always room for improvement, and good is not enough. You can do better.”
Regarding his future, ten Hag has decided to take a professional hiatus until July 1, allowing himself time to consider his next steps.
During his tenure at Manchester United, ten Hag secured the League Cup and FA Cup but faced challenges, including internal conflicts with key players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane.
Since his departure, the club’s performance has not improved significantly under successor Ruben Amorim, with Manchester United currently positioned 15th in the Premier League.
