The Federal Government is exploring funding options to comprehensively refurbish Lagos’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport. Aviation and Aerospace Development Minister Festus Keyamo clarified that while the funding model is yet to be finalized, this initiative does not preclude the possibility of concessioning the airport for effective management.
Keyamo emphasized that even if the government invests its own funds in the rehabilitation, it does not eliminate the option of concessioning the airport to ensure proper operation and management.
This approach aligns with the government’s commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s aviation infrastructure, aiming to meet international standards and improve the overall passenger experience.
