The Nigerian Federal Government has recently threatened to revoke Julius Berger’s contract for the ongoing Abuja-Kaduna-Kano highway project due to a pricing dispute.
The Minister of Works, David Umahi, revealed that Julius Berger had requested an increase in the contract price, but the government approved a lower figure of N740.7 billion.
Umahi warned that if the construction company does not accept this offer, their contract could be terminated.
The government has already paid a significant portion of the project cost and is pushing for a resolution to ensure timely completion.
