Rapid Approval: Fubara Signs Rivers 2025 Budget in Record Time

On January 2, 2025, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State signed the state’s N1.188 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year into law, just 72 hours after presenting it to the House of Assembly.

The budget, which represents a significant increase from the previous year’s N800 billion, was presented to the House on December 30, 2024.

Governor Fubara emphasized the importance of the budget in advancing the state’s development agenda, particularly in sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure.

The swift passage and signing of the budget reflect the administration’s commitment to expediting development projects and enhancing the welfare of Rivers State residents.
