On January 2, 2025, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State signed the state’s N1.188 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year into law, just 72 hours after presenting it to the House of Assembly.
The budget, which represents a significant increase from the previous year’s N800 billion, was presented to the House on December 30, 2024.
