French actor Gérard Depardieu has requested a delay in his upcoming criminal trial for alleged sexual assaults, citing health issues as his reason for being unable to attend.
Depardieu, who is 75 years old, is facing charges related to accusations of groping two women on a film set in 2021. Previously, in 2020, Depardieu faced separate charges of rape and sexual assault from actress Charlotte Arnould, which he has also denied.
Additionally, multiple women have alleged various forms of sexual misconduct by Depardieu, which he has consistently refuted, insisting in an open letter last year that he has “never abused a woman”.
