Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has carried out a significant cabinet reshuffle, announcing the dismissal of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, and five commissioners.
This marks the first major reshuffle since his administration began and includes the abolition of the Chief of Staff position, held by Shehu Sagagi.
The affected commissioners oversaw key ministries such as Finance, Culture and Tourism, Information, Special Duties, and Rural Development.
The reshuffle is part of the governor’s strategy to enhance administrative performance and ensure alignment with the needs of Kano residents.
Several other officials were reassigned, including Deputy Governor Aminu Abdulssalam, who now heads the Ministry of Higher Education, and Hon. Amina Abdullahi, who transitions to the Ministry for Women, Children, and Persons with Disabilities.
