Dramatic Rescue: Edo Police Battle Kidnappers to Save Abducted Family

On December 18, 2024, the Edo State Police Command successfully rescued a family of four—David Ayanbode (60), Elizabeth Akpoyomare (40), and their children, Excel (10) and Flourish (8)—who had been abducted by gunmen.

The rescue operation involved a gun battle with the kidnappers, leading to the safe recovery of the victims.

The police have not reported any casualties among the victims or the law enforcement officers involved.

The authorities are continuing their investigation to apprehend the suspects responsible for the kidnapping.
