Hezbollah: Lebanon’s Strongest Defender Against Israel

Iran Backs Hezbollah Amid Escalating Israel Conflict

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei recently described Hezbollah as Lebanon’s “strongest defender” against Israel amid the ongoing regional conflict.

This statement follows an escalation of hostilities, with Israeli forces targeting Hezbollah sites throughout Lebanon since early October 2024.

The situation intensified after significant Israeli strikes, including the reported assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in September.

Khamenei’s remarks underscore Iran’s continued support for Hezbollah as both countries oppose Israel’s actions in Lebanon and the broader Middle East.

Meanwhile, international leaders like French President Emmanuel Macron have urged for an immediate ceasefire, warning of further humanitarian consequences in Lebanon if hostilities continue.
