A 23-year-old security guard, David Nanbur, has been sentenced to six months imprisonment by an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for stealing mattresses worth ₦450,000 from his employer.
Nanbur pleaded guilty to charges of stealing and malicious damage. The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. M.M. Olagbenro, offered him an option of a ₦30,000 fine payable to the Oyo State Government or, alternatively, one month of community service.
