Jay-Z has formally requested that a Manhattan judge dismiss a lawsuit accusing him and fellow rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at a 2000 party.
He is also seeking sanctions against the plaintiff’s attorney, Tony Buzbee, alleging that Buzbee filed the lawsuit without conducting a reasonable investigation and included multiple inaccuracies.
Jay-Z’s legal team contends that the allegations are false and have caused significant damage to his reputation. They argue that Buzbee’s actions warrant sanctions and are seeking compensation for legal fees incurred.
In response, Tony Buzbee has characterized Jay-Z’s motion as a desperate attempt to intimidate and silence the accuser. He maintains that the lawsuit was filed based on credible information and stands by the allegations presented.
This development is part of an ongoing legal battle involving multiple lawsuits across various jurisdictions, with both parties steadfast in their positions.
