Kamala Harris Backs Protests Against Trump and Musk

Your Voice vs. Billionaires: Kamala Harris Speaks Out

Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has expressed support for the recent “Hands Off!” protests opposing President Donald Trump and his advisor, Elon Musk. In a statement, Harris commended the demonstrators, stating, “The voices of working people will always be louder than the unelected billionaires.”

The nationwide protests, held on April 5, 2025, saw millions rallying across all 50 states to oppose the Trump administration’s policies, particularly concerning social services and economic decisions. Critics have voiced concerns over Musk’s influence in government roles, especially his leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has been linked to significant federal workforce reductions and cuts to programs like Social Security and Medicaid.

Harris’s remarks underscore her alignment with the protesters’ concerns about the perceived prioritization of wealthy individuals in governmental decision-making. The “Hands Off!” movement represents one of the largest collective protests since the beginning of Trump’s second term, highlighting widespread public dissent against the administration’s policies and the involvement of unelected billionaires in shaping them.
