Veteran Kannywood actor Abdullahi Shuaibu, popularly known as Karkuzu, has passed away at the age of 94. He died on Tuesday night, March 25, 2025, at the Jos University Teaching Hospital after a prolonged illness.
Karkuzu was renowned for his significant contributions to the Kannywood film industry, particularly for his role in the popular drama “Karkuzu Na Bodara” during the 1980s. In recent years, he faced health challenges, including blindness due to a debilitating ailment, and had appealed for financial assistance.
His funeral prayer was held on Wednesday morning, March 26, 2025, at his residence in Sarkin Mangu, Jos, attended by family, friends, and colleagues from the entertainment industry.
