Kenya has recently announced a new travel directive allowing citizens of nearly all African countries to visit without requiring pre-travel authorization.
This move aims to advance regional integration, support open-skies policies, and drive tourism growth. However, due to security concerns, citizens of Somalia and Libya are excluded from this policy.
Under the updated system, travelers from across the continent will be permitted visa-free stays of up to two months, with East African Community members eligible for up to six months’ stay.
This initiative reflects Kenya’s commitment to fostering greater unity and economic collaboration within Africa.
