In response to Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s planned homecoming to Kogi Central Senatorial District, the Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Amoka Eneji, has imposed a curfew across the LGA. This measure aims to maintain peace and order following the state government’s ban on all political rallies and unregulated public gatherings.
The curfew, effective immediately, restricts movement and gatherings in specified areas. Individuals found violating these restrictions without proper authorization will face arrest and prosecution. Hon. Eneji emphasized that public safety is the administration’s top priority and warned that any actions compromising community peace and stability will not be tolerated.
Despite these restrictions, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan remains committed to her visit, encouraging constituents to join her in celebrating Eid-el-Fitr. She has assured that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure a successful and joyous event.
