The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended a suspected kidnapper involved in the abduction of his former employer and her two sons.
The suspect, identified as Yusuf Ajala, was arrested at Isale Asa, Opomalu area in Ilorin. Investigations revealed that the suspect had forcibly attempted to redirect the victims from their usual route while they were returning home from school, under the pretense of seeking help.
This arrest is part of a broader crackdown by the NSCDC on criminal activities, which also included apprehending two other suspects for the production and sale of expired energy drinks with falsified expiry dates.
Both cases are being prepared for prosecution in a court of competent jurisdiction.
