The Lagos State Police Command, in collaboration with a joint task force, has successfully rescued two individuals who were abducted from their residences in the Ijede area of Ikorodu.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, when armed assailants invaded the home of a 40-year-old man, identified as Dare, killed his security dog, and kidnapped him.
Subsequently, the kidnappers proceeded to a neighboring house, where they abducted Taiwo, the 25-year-old daughter of the landlord.
Upon receiving information about the abductions, the police mobilized operatives to the scene and initiated a rigorous search operation.
Through collaborative efforts with the joint task force and other security stakeholders, the victims were rescued unhurt on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at approximately 11:56 p.m., and have since been reunited with their families.
The Lagos State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the perpetrators to ensure they are apprehended and brought to justice. This successful rescue underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combating crime and ensuring the safety of residents in Lagos State.
