The Lagos State government has clarified that a recent Federal Capital Territory (FCT) court judgment, which bans the Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) from impounding vehicles in Abuja, does not apply to Lagos State.
They emphasized that each state operates under its laws and regulations, and the judgment is specific to the FCT.
Lagos residents are still required to comply with the state’s traffic and vehicle inspection laws, and VIO operations within the state remain unaffected.
