The Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) has dismissed two officers for allegedly stealing phones during a raid.
The agency announced the dismissal after an investigation confirmed the officers’ misconduct. The incident occurred during a recent enforcement operation in the state.
The Taskforce Chairman, CSP Shola Jejeloye, emphasized that the agency upholds a zero-tolerance policy for corruption and misconduct among its personnel.
He reiterated the commitment to maintaining public trust and ensuring that all officers adhere strictly to ethical standards.
The dismissed officers will face legal action to serve as a deterrent to others.
The Taskforce also urged members of the public to report any unprofessional behavior by its officers to ensure accountability and transparency.
