The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions for the city race scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2024.
The diversions will affect several major roads in Lagos between 5:00 AM and 2:00 PM to ensure the smooth progression of the race and safety of participants.
Key areas impacted include Funsho Williams Avenue, Ikorodu Road, Third Mainland Bridge, Dolphin Road, Alfred Rewane Road, Falomo Roundabout, Lekki Bridge, Freedom Way, Akin-Adesola Street, and Ahmadu Bello Way.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes such as Apongbon Bridge, Eko Bridge, and Herbert Macaulay Road during the race period.
Traffic management officers will be on duty to assist in maintaining flow and minimizing inconvenience.
The event features a 42-kilometer race for elite athletes and shorter categories for others, starting at 6:30 AM and concluding at Eko Atlantic by noon.
